The Hall County School District is proud to announce our high schools that have been named 2020 Georgia Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools by State School Superintendent Richard Woods on February 6, 2020, based on July 2019 AP Exam test data. Several of our high schools are AP Honor Schools in more than one category. Congratulations to our students, teachers, and administrators!
AP exams are administered by the College Board, which also administers the SAT. AP courses are one of several ways Georgia students can access college-level rigor at the high school level; students who receive a 3, 4, or 5 on an AP exam are eligible to receive college credit.
“I commend the students, teachers, and staff of these 255 schools,” Superintendent Woods said. “Behind this recognition is an enormous amount of hard work, and I congratulate all those who worked to expand access, improve performance, and build strong Advanced Placement programs in each school recognized today.”
