Emergency Lane Closures on I-285 Southbound for Concrete Slab Repair

What: Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will close two southbound outside lanes on I-285 for emergency concrete slab replacement in Fulton County. This emergency repair is needed to help ensure driver safety through the area.

Where:I-285 southbound between Cascade Road and Camp Creek Parkway.  
Traffic may be congested due to the lane closures. Georgia DOT urges motorists to find alternate routes to travel to their destinations.

When: 3 p.m. until repairs are complete.

As always, motorists traveling in the area are reminded to reduce their speeds in the work zone. Motorists are also encouraged to wear seatbelts, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and plan their routes before getting on the road by calling 511 for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
